The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music offers robust opportunities for students to study, rehearse, and perform in woodwind chamber ensembles.

Students who enroll in the woodwind section of Music C175 or C485 are placed into small ensembles, assigned music, receive weekly coaching from faculty and teaching assistants, and perform a formal concert at the end of each quarter. Woodwind chamber ensembles are inclusive (woodwinds, brass, strings, piano, voice, percussion), although each group enrolled in the woodwind section must include at least one woodwind instrument.

The program is designed to offer practical rehearsal and performance experience for woodwind players in a chamber setting. Non-music majors are welcome by audition only.
