Catherine Miller

Pianist Catherine Miller is active as a vocal coach and accompanist and is currently a staff member of San Diego Opera and Opera Santa Barbara, and is the Artistic Consultant for the Pasadena Opera Guild. She has also worked with Los Angeles Opera, Opera Pacific, Santa Fe Opera, The Los Angeles Master Chorale and is a graduate of the Merola Opera program of the San Francisco Opera.Internationally, she has been a music staff member at the Teatro Municipal in Santiago, Chile, the Lucca Opera Theater and the Spoleto Festival in Italy.

Active as an accompanist for classical singers, she has performed in such venues as Wigmore Hall in London, England, La Chiesa Santa Margherita in Vernazza, Italy, The Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. The Crocker Art Museum and The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.

Ms. Miller is the official accompanist for both the Los Angeles District Metropolitan Opera Vocal Competition and the Loren Zachary Vocal Competition.

She has played for the West Coast Auditions and Dalis Vocal Competition, the Classical Singer Convention, the Jose Iturbi International Competition and the Operalia World Voice Competition.

A graduate of the University of Southern California and the Juilliard School, she also was a Fulbright Scholar at the Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary.
