Music voice students win PAFAA scholarships

August 28th, 2012 · 1 Comment

We have just heard from Prof. Juliana Gondek the following good news:

“Two UCLA third year undergraduate Music Performance Majors, violinist Amy Tang and soprano vocalist Bernadette Mondok, have won scholarships in the Performing Arts Foundation for Asian-Americans’ (PAFAA) Scholarship Award Program. PAFAA’s goals are “to assist the development of young Asian-American performing artists in pursuit of excellence” and “to promote diverse types of performing arts, instrumental and vocal music, classics and musical comedy, traditional and Asian ethnic dances.” Bernadette and Amy met the Foundation’s strict academic and artistic standards to win their awards, and will perform at the Foundation’s Anniversary Scholarship Award Banquet.”

Congratulations to both students!
