ALIX VON BOSEN is the Assistant to the Chair of the Music Department, as well as serving as the Website Administrator for the Music Department, and she assists with programming and coordination of the School of Music's other sites.  Her administrative duties include coordinating parking, grades, textbook requisition, and directory services for the department. She is coordinator and scheduler for all summer sessions courses, and is academic course scheduler for the department.

Alix obtained a B.A. degree in Music (voice) from U.C. Riverside, followed by a master's degree in Library and Information Science from UCLA.  After graduation, she spent two years in the U.S. Peace Corps in Tunisia, where she was Librarian at the National Cancer Institute in Tunis.

Before coming to UCLA she held various positions as administrator, personnel director, administrative assistant and office manager with firms in a variety of industries, which included law, public relations, and financial services (where she obtained her Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses).  Alix joined the Music Department in November, 2001.  She is a graduate of the 2011 UCLA Staff Enrichment Program as well as the Academic Personnel Certificate Program, and is a member of Bruin Caucus.  From July 2012-July 2014 she began a two-year term as Secretary/Historian for the UCLA Administrative Management Group and chaired the Excel Award Committee for that group.
