Kevork Andonian, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Music, had his orchestral piece Ararat Overture premiered in concert by the Ottawa Chamber Orchestra on November 20, 2009. The concert was held at Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts and Humanities in Kevork’s home town of Ottawa, Canada. Kevork received a grant from the Herb Alpert School of Music Student Opportunity Fund to attend the performance.
