Free family concert–”One Foot in the Grave: The UCLA Philharmonia Halloween Spooktacular!”

Don’t miss this concert: A free Halloween concert at Royce Hall…orchestra and conductor in costume…music of the macabre….the shower scene from “Psycho”…silent film madness with university organist Christoph Bull…scary musical tales by dead white males…and the U.S. concert premiere of music from the classic 1970 Hammer Horror film “Taste the Blood of Dracula”
It will be too much fun! Costumes will make this event even more fun!

Bach Toccata and Fugue in D minor for organ, BWV 565
Berlioz ”Pandemonium” from “The Damnation of Faust” Op. 24
Franck ”Le Chasseur Maudit” (”The Cursed Hunter”)
Bernard Herrmann ”Psycho: Narrative for Orchestra” (1960)
Dave Fleischer ”Koko’s Earth Control” (1928) (silent film with live organ accompaniment)
Dvorak ”The Noon Witch” Op. 108
James Bernard Suite from the film “Taste the Blood of Dracula” (1970) (U.S. concert premiere)
