Department Support: The Department of Music offers scholarships to a limited number of incoming students. All Music Department scholarships are merit based and determined by performance ability, musicality and other demonstrated skills.
* Generally, scholarships are awarded to top-ranked students following the audition process.
* The largest of these scholarships will fully cover the cost of California resident fees for the academic year.
* These scholarships are renewable and are limited to a total of 4 years of support.
* There is no form to fill out to be considered for departmental scholarships. All students who pass through the audition process will be considered.
If you have any further questions about departmental financial support, please contact us at musicaud@arts.ucla.edu.
Financial Aid Office: It is recommended that students explore various options for financial support. The Financial Aid office, www.fao.ucla.edu, is a helpful resource for answers to financial aid questions.
Scholarship Resources: The Scholarship Resource Center (SRC) is located in 233 Covel Commons. The SRC has a website that covers a large collection of information about scholarships offered by outside organizations for those students who are proactive about their finances and willing to look for and find scholarship opportunities.
