Freshman: Suite for Tuba by Haddad

Sophomore (Transfer): Sonate for tuba & piano by Hindemith

Junior (Transfer): Sonata for tuba & piano by Broughton

Senior (Transfer): Concerto for Bass Tuba by R. Vaughan Williams

MM and DMA

Unless the program is specified below, you should prepare a full recital, demonstrating your familiarity with a variety of musical styles and periods, including the 20th Century. You should prepare complete works, unless otherwise noted. Sight reading on the level of standard orchestral excepts or recital repertoire for your instrument may be required.

Your program must include one from the following: Persichetti: Serenade No. 12 for Tuba solo; Vaughan Williams: Concerto for Tuba and Orchestra; John Williams: Tuba Concerto; Advanced Methods and Major orchestral literature.
