KANAE MATSUMOTO is a collaborative pianist for instrumental students at the UCLA Music Department. Active as a soloist and collaborative artist, she recently performed at the Third International Conservatoire Week (St. Petersburg, Russia), the Aichi World Expo (Nagoya, Japan), and the Chautauqua Music Festival (New York).
After completing the Master’s program in piano performance at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music in Japan, she moved to the United States to continue her piano study with world renowned pedagogue Prof. Vitaly Margulis. Under his guidance, she earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from UCLA.
She is also teaching Beginning Piano Technique at UCLA Extension and accompanying at Santa Monica College.
