BILL BOOTH has over 20 years experience in the Los Angeles music industry, and is a veteran performer with experience in most aspects of the music business.  His recording credits include over five hundred motion pictures, numerous phonograph records, television shows and jingles. He is principal trombone in the Los Angeles Opera Company, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and the Pasadena Symphony.  Formerly principal trombone with the Pacific Symphony, Opera Pacific, and a member of the Los Angeles Brass, Bill frequently appears as principal trombone with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and has performed hundreds of times as principal with the major ballet companies of the world in Los Angeles.

A native of Sedalia, Missouri, Bill is a former student of John Hill and John Marcellus. He holds a B.M.E. from the University of Kansas, a Masters of Music from Catholic University and an M.B.A from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  He was a member of the USAF Airmen of Note and resided in Las Vegas where he played in show orchestras before moving to Los Angeles.

Bill’s motion picture soundtrack credits include: Titanic, Jurassic Park (I, II, & III), Sum of All Fears, Panic Room, Triple X, Stuart Little (I & II), Signs, Road to Perdition, Scooby-Doo, Master of Disguise, Minority Report, Blade (I & II), Treasure Planet, Scorpion King, and Ice Age.

His current CD, Balancing Act, is on Crystal Records has won wide acclaim in the trombone community. The American Record Guide termed it “one of the finest solo trombone recordings ever made”.

Bill is also an artist for United Musical Instruments, UMI, which sponsors him at clinics and personal appearances.
